SEARCH ENGINES

You've probably heard of and used Google. However, did you know there are different kinds of search engines?

This is a list of Wikipedia articles about search engines, including web search engines, selection-based search engines, metasearch engines, desktop search tools, and web portals and vertical market websites that have a search facility for online databases.

Some popular ones are:
Bing.com
Google.com

Ask.com
(was Ask Jeeves)
Webcrawler
Yahoo

When they offer them, be sure to choose a category such as images, video, shopping

Use a search engine put in your name such as "john doe" (do use the ")

Then check out what is on the internet about you!
